Besides the obvious: they are not produced by the same companies, and the pairings and fandom are are just...
Tangled: - And Rapunzel, is my favourite movie, and princess (even at my age.) And what made the other half of that movie so good? Flynn/Eugiene! I dunno if you watched the little 10 minute special that came with the movie, but he ended up marrying Rapunzel. Not Jack. Not Hiccup. I thought Flynn was popular with the fandom :c I know I sure liked him.
Rise of the Guardians: I liked the movie pretty well, and Jack too. While it wasn't really...stated, him and Tooth seemed to like each other, although that's a moot point. (Don't really ship Jack with anyone per se.) It's really annoying to see him paired with Hiccup when he's not even gay. If his feelings lean towards Tooth, a girl, that automatically disproves the nonsensical pairing.
How to Train Your Dragon: Pretty much one of the best movies with a series. Period. Hiccup I love . Pretty much in the first five minutes of the movie, we see he likes Astrid, a girl. Again, disproving he has any interest in males, or is gay. He kisses Astrid a couple of times. And Astrid likes him too. (That, and I love Astrid as a character. Even still, I know some people don't )So...why he's paired with Jack baffles me. And Rapunzel? She's married to Flynn/Eugiene. And Meridia...just why? Why? The entire movie as based on how she did NOT want to get married, or find a man!
Brave: I didn't like it. Of all the three, I found Meridia to be a selfish, and whiny example of a princess. It wasn't that she didn't want to get married. That's all well and good. It's the fact that she was so rude to her mother, and pretty much everyone in the movie. There's a difference between saying, "I don't want to get married" vs "I hate you!111 So I'll show you I don't have to get married1111". I hate seeing her with Hiccup and Jack. I don't need to bother repeating what I said above. Same thing applies here.
And this is not me hating on the movies or characters. I just find the whole idea over-rated, annoying and just...weird. I can understand why the movies were popular, and why people like doing crossovers. But there's a right and a wrong way to do it. If you ask me, this is the wrong way.
As always lovies, comments open to hear your comments/opinions
I like jackuzel, but really the fandom and the the crossovers pretty sucks.
RotG was great, and Bunny is a better character than Jack Frost BY FAR.
Merida's character was so frustrating, she's the reason why I didn't finish Brave.
Tangled was... meh.
HtTYD was a TOTAL SNOOZEFEST.
Two that live in the middle ages
One that lives in in 17th or 18th century ? I don't know.
And one who lives in modern times.
Makes no sense.
And please, for the love of God, no more Frozen.
But hey, don't be afraid to speak your mind, am I right?
yay for Eugene and Astrid!!!!!!!
Oh, thank GOSH I finally found this stamp! I'm so sick of seeing this crossover wherever I go on dA. The Big Four's isn't that great, nor should they or any other crossover ever have a fandom. Seriously, I could make a better crossover that makes a degree of sense and it'd get trampled by something Big Four related. I really don't get what makes the Big Four crossover so special.
I'll admit that I sorta do like Mericcup since I think it could work a little, and their movies alone could fit as a crossover (even if I didn't really care for "Brave" and Merida's my least fave Disney Princess). But I do like Hiccup and Astrid as a couple too.
And nor do I understand the whole fandom on why these four in particular.
